Hopie Spitshard is an upcoming Bay Area emcee determined not to be placed in the stilettos of the hyper sexual femme fatale—the stereotypical role many female rappers are placed in. She’s ready to let people know she’s witty and she has major flows. Being unsigned is not stopping Hopie from distributing her first release, The Diamond Dame, where she scores major points with rap so retro it sounds as if her lyrics are rolling off of Moni Love’s tongue. Her single ‘Yummy” is comical—check it out.
